KT&G Korea’s electronic nicotine delivery system market share rises to 40.7%, a record

According to the news on December 3, as of the end of September, KT&G’s share of the Korean Electronic Nicotine Delivery System (ENDS) market has risen to a record 40.7%.

The success of new tobacco sticks such as Fiit and Miix has driven the company’s performance, and they are compatible with its heat-not-burn cigarette brand Lil.

Cumulative sales of Lil equipment exceeded 4 million units this year, compared to 3.22 million units in 2020.

The company’s main growth driver is Lil Hybrid 2.0, which combines KT&G’s proprietary technology using ink cartridges and heating rods.

KT&G is also strengthening its lineup of dedicated rods for equipment. The lineup of Fiit and Miix has increased from 11 in 2019 to 20 today, almost doubled.

The Lil brand is also very popular internationally. Through global cooperation with Philip Morris International, KT&G products are now sold in 10 countries, including Russia, Ukraine and Japan.
