Chinese e-cigarettes will refer to cigarette management

According to news from China Government Network on November 26, the State Council issued a decision on amending the “Regulations for the Implementation of the Tobacco Monopoly Law of the People’s Republic of China.”

In order to strengthen the supervision of new tobacco products such as e-cigarettes, the State Council has decided to make the following amendments to the “Regulations for the Implementation of the Tobacco Monopoly Law of the People’s Republic of China”:

One article is added as Article 65: “E-cigarettes and other new tobacco products shall be implemented with reference to the relevant regulations on cigarettes in these Regulations.”

In addition, the order of the provisions will be adjusted accordingly.

This decision shall come into effect on the date of promulgation.

The “Regulations for the Implementation of the Tobacco Monopoly Law of the People’s Republic of China” will be revised and re-announced in accordance with this decision.
